Welcome to Art/Inter/Face 2010!

Art and design education is changing rapidly in light of the new realities of the 21st century, with its emphasis on innovation and interaction. These disciplines are interfacing with critical thinking, social justice issues, sustainability and a revised art curriculum, all mediated by digital technologies. Are your teaching and research practices keeping pace? Join us face to face to learn about cutting edge ideas, creative teaching methods and innovative approaches to research for art and design education in school, university and community settings.

Art/Inter/Face is a conference being organized and sponsored by the Ontario Society for Education through Art, the Canadian Society for Education through Art and the Ontario College of Art and Design. Inspired by OCAD's innovative architecture, the conference will feature three days of workshops, studio classes, lectures, tours and a trade fair that provide access to the rich cultural facilities on site, at the Art Gallery of Ontario and in the surrounding community. The program offers a wide range of sessions in order to provide professional development and networking opportunities for art teachers, artists, art students and academics in art and design education.
